Grand Haven has been worshipping on summer evenings since 1947. The group that had been organizing this weekly event decided to move Worship on the Waterfront to a venue in Holland.

Announcing – Praise by the Pier concert series. A local group working with Hark Up has committed to keep the Sunday night Christian music programs alive in the new downtown waterfront stadium! The programming will be diverse, ranging from classical, gospel, traditional, contemporary, and big band. Praise by the Pier will be performed by choirs and instrumental groups as well as a number of praise teams. The music will be inspirational to young and old audiences alike. We are lucky to be able to book this kind of family entertainment that you can’t find anywhere else.

This community staple is consistent with the family atmosphere that we’ve all worked to develop in Grand Haven and the greater West Michigan area. Praise by the Pier will bring thousands of people together in worship and song, overlooking our best asset in town – the waterfront! This will add to the vibrant waterfront scene and will be a great way to spend the evening before the Musical Fountain. It is so important to keep this tradition alive.
